Liggy Webb is widely respected as a leading expert in the field of Modern Life Skills. As a presenter, consultant and author she is passionate about her work and improving the quality of people’s lives.  She has developed a range of techniques and strategies to support individuals and organizations to cope more effectively and successfully with modern living and the demands and challenges of life in the twenty tens and beyond.
 
She is noted for her dynamic and engaging style and as a result is frequently invited to present and speak at international conferences, award ceremonies, on board cruise ships, in the media and at a variety of high profile events.

Her experience and expertise is a blend of adaptive and positive behavioral change, holistic health and psychology.  

ABOUT LIGGY


Liggy is the author of The Happy Handbook – A Compendium of Modern Life Skills and How to Work Wonders – Your Guide to Workplace Wellness. She is currently researching her next book which is due out in 2011.

Liggy is a consultant for the United Nations and travels extensively working in a variety of worldwide locations. She is also the founding director of The Learning Architect an international learning and development organization.

Liggy has also worked in an advisory and consultancy capacity with a variety of private and public sector organizations including the NHS, Royal Shakespeare Company, Thomson Reuters, Lloyds TSB, British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy, David Lloyd, NFU Mutual, Thames Valley Police, UCAS and P & O Cruises.

More recently Liggy has been involved in extensive research surrounding the subject of Modern Life Skills and the very topical area of Workplace Wellness. Both topics have been developed into a variety of accredited programmes that are now delivered across the UK and internationally.  Liggy’s presentations are highly informative and motivating and can be tailored to suit the needs of the organization and the audience.

MODERN LIFE SKILLS 


Modern Life Skills is about the abilities for adaptive and positive behaviour that enable individuals to deal effectively with the demands and challenges of everyday life. By providing individuals with a toolkit of positive life skills they will be more empowered  to cultivate healthy habits  and personal coping strategies. Individuals will be better equipped to make more intelligent and informed choices that will ultimately improve the quality and sustainability of their lives.

WORKPLACE WELLNESS 


Workplace Wellness is about the proactive and responsible approach that organisations can take to support and look after the health of their workforce. By cultivating a working environment that promotes mental, physical and environmental health, employers can positively impact on stress, reduce absenteeism and improve the workforce energy and performance and engender a culture of people engagement.

SUPPORT PROGRAMMES


Liggy is committed to supporting charitable causes and works on a not-for-profit basis for a variety of trusts and organisations. She is a trustee of the Chrysalis Foundation and one of her life skills modules is currently being delivered in Reading Prison.

In association with The Learning Architect she works to support a range of initiatives and to raise profile and champion support.
Liggy is committed to raising awareness for mental health and working to reduce the stigma that is attached to depression in the workplace and in society.
